TRISTAN
My alarm blaring made me jerk upright in bed. Confused as hell, it took me a second to realize why it was going off while it was still pitch dark outside. Groaning as it all came flooding back, I rolled over and hit snooze.
But it was too late. I was awake now and regardless of how much I wanted to catch just a few more precious minutes of sleep, I already knew it wasnât going to happen. Specifically not while I was so hard that my cock was throbbing and the only thing I saw when I closed my eyes was that picture Colette had sent last night.
Sheâd captioned it A Taste of Your Sexy Surprise, and if I hadnât already parked at home by the time I opened it, I probably wouldâve turned my car around. As it was, itâd kept me up a little longer than I mightâve been otherwise, but itâd been worth it.
Reaching for my phone, I canceled the alarm, navigated back to my messages, and opened up my thread with her. Iâd replied with a picture of my own torso with my hand on it, and a few minutes later, sheâd sent me a star-eyed emoji and said good night.
I didnât have time to do anything about how incredibly sexy my surprise had been, but I fired off a quick text to say good morning and left it at that. What had happened last night was completely uncharted territory for me, and I couldnât stop thinking about it.
Iâd never been sent a picture like that before, and Iâd definitely never sent one, but holy shit, it was hot. Because it was so new to me, it hadnât reminded me of Shelley or my relationship with her at all, and so I hadnât even felt guilty about what Iâd done while staring at it and imagining what Colette was doing on her end.
Last night had made me realize a few things, but the most important thing was that Kaden had been right. I was still alive and Shelley wasnât. Obviously, but it was like the information had finally sunk in. As much as I would always wonder what mightâve been, where we wouldâve been if she had been here, she wasnât.
Colette, however, was. She was here. She was alive, and I was really starting to like her at this point. We were getting closer and the more I learned about her, the more I found myself thinking that she was entirely unlike any woman Iâd even been friends with before.
In a way, Colette was almost like a female version of me. She had her quirks, but I sure as hell had my own, and those were still only drawing me to her rather than putting me off. Other than that, we were extremely similar.
I genuinely enjoyed her company and I was so attracted to her that I stayed hard all through my shower and while I was getting dressed. The problem with that was that everything else seemed to go wrong as a result of the fact that my head was in the gutter.
